"NU-COAT AP OUT-1" is an apatite photocatalytic titanium dioxide coating that maintains a beautiful appearance indefinitely due to its self-cleaning effect. The "photocatalytic" action that occurs when titanium dioxide is exposed to ultraviolet light can decompose and neutralize harmful chemicals. Since the photocatalytic coating surface becomes hydrophilic (the opposite of hydrophobic), when it rains, gravity washes away dirt that has adhered to exterior walls and other surfaces.
